This is the Friendly Meeting PlaceCafe de la Onda is the place people go to begin their day. Sara and Alvaro are your hosts. Both speak English fluendly as well as Spanish. Sara is from the United States and Alvaro is a Tico. Sample Bill of FareSara and Alvaro offer a wide variety of tasty treats from my favorite Fruit Bowl with Granola, Honey, and Yogurt, to homemade cookies. For lunch you can choose from a Vacation "Time Out" In PrivacyA vacation shouldn't be one of go-go-go all of the time. There should be times when you can simply "chill out" in the privacy of your own backyard, lying in a hammock, listening to the native birds, maybe even watching some playful monkeys as they try to get you to toss them a few bananas (make sure they are ripe or those little playthings may throw them back at you). Check Out Onda's LibraryThere are many books that will give you information of things to see and do while on the Osa, give you insight into Costa Rica and its people, and just give you something to read in leisure while you sip your coffee and nibble on your bagel smothered in one of several delicious spreads.
Conveniently Located.Cafe de la Onda is located near the two banks in town and across the street from the Super Mercado and a block from the gasoline station. It is an easy stroll, or bike ride, from wherever you may be staying. It is a couple of blocks from Casa de Costa Rica. Check Out The Movie ScheduleThere is most likely a free movie this week at Cafe de la Onda, usually on Thursday evening, starting at 7:00. Movies are in English and are very entertaining. Check at the cafe to see what the movie will be that week, then join Sara and Alvaro for a night at the movies. |
